"The White Leaf"

The White Leaf

This piece is made out of white alabaster on a limestone base. I am very happy with how it turned out and I plan to do a lot more work in white alabaster. It is about 50 cm tall.

"The Wing"

The Wing

This Sculpture is made using translucent alabaster mounted on the Walnut base. It's about 12"x12"x4".

"Abstract Wooden Relief #1"

This sculpture is an execise in a relief work using strips of wood. The varying depth of wood strips and contrasting, natural colors add interest to the piece. The types of wood include walnut, maple, mahogany, cherry, and purple heart.

"The Wooden Flame"

This is a fairly large piece. The body is made out os a solid block of maple and the base is a solid limestone.

"The Dark Butterfly"

This sculpture is fairly recent. It will be displayed (among others) at the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) Art Show this November. The body (10.5"x8.5"x16.5") is made out of soapstone and the base (14"x10"x2") is made out of purple heart.

"The Tree"

This is my first attempt at sculpting in metal. It's also an additive process compared to my other works which are subtractive. The shape is made out of stainless steel rods and copper wire. It will move with the wind and change color in time, just like a real tree.

"The Flower"

This piece is made out of alabaster (12.5"x8"x3.5") with a lacewood base (8.25"x4.75"x4"). I really like working in alabaster. It has a beautiful consistency and just the right amount of hardness which allows quick progres and does not make the piece too fragile.

This piece is no longer available.

"The Butterfly"

This piece is bordering on figurative. It loosly resembles a butterfly. The material is soapstone and the base is maple.

"Evidence Of Elapsed Time"

This sculpture is an abstract, organic form. The main body is made out of soapstone (20.25"x13.5"x8") and the base is a solid block of walnut (12.75"x8.25"x2.25").
